College
Career: GiGi
start her college track career at Odessa College.
In her freshman year, GiGi won the JUCO Heptathlon
title while at OC, and finished fourth at USA Juniors
in the Triple Jump, and fifth in Heptathlon. In her
sophomore year, Miller was national runner-up in the
triple jump. After two years at Odessa College, Miller,
transferred to Arkansas. In her first year at Arkansas,
GiGi, placed second at the NCAA Outdoors Heptathlon,
seventh at the SEC Outdoor Triple Jump, and ninth at
the SEC Outdoor Heptathlon. As a senior, Miller won
the SEC Heptathlon, was the NCAA Indoors Triple Jump
champ, and placed second at the Outdoor championships
in the Triple Jump. GiGi, was ranked third and fifth
in the U.S. by Track and Field News in the Heptathlon
and Triple Jump, respectively.
Pro
Career: After
a great college career, GiGi stepped up to the professional
level. In her pro career, Miller, was fourth at the
USA Outdoors Heptathlon, fifth at the Indoors Triple
Jump, first at the Tyson Invitational, and ranked number
five heptathlete by Track and Field News in 2002. She won the USA Outdoor National Championships in the Heptathalon in the summer of 2006.
Fun
Facts: GiGi
competed in more events than any other Lady Razorback
athlete during the indoor track season. Miller nearly
shattered every Razorback record in the outdoor heptathlon.
Following her first season with Arkansas, GiGi, qualified
for both the NCAA and the U.S. Olympic trials.
